ThugRadio.Net is a super sexy website with companion message board and, of course, there's a slightly demented Twitter along with a BlogSpot & a visual feast via YouTube & DailyMotion. I used to have a Rap/R&B radio show and the site was initially set-up as a guide to what I have and can play on the show. The show has since been discontinued, but I've done much too much work on the site to let it die, so I started adding purchase information in hopes of making a little bit of money through the magical power of website affiliation. With Facebook, MySpace & the like I add people who are interested in Rap, Hip-Hop, Soul, R&B, Funk, Comedy and the such in hopes that they may find the site interesting and/or contribute to the Thug Radio Message Board eventually making ThugRadio a global empire followed by world domination. Or something like that.

ThugRadio.Net Update May 14, 2014: Something Something Thug Radio Whatever Man

See More News & More News (Goes Further Back)

~May 14, 2014: Something Something Thug Radio Whatever Man~

A Long Time Coming: It’s actually been about a year since the last update. That update came after an absence of a few months. This time somehow we got infected with malware, which is like virtual gonorrhea. The site finally got its shots and is all better. It actually took a long-ass time and a lot of e-mails to get the host people to fix it. After that I really didn’t feel like there was a big rush to get back into updates. Even right now I’m not going to finish this today. I’m going to go eat pancakes. Now I’m way behind on new releases and shit. I have tons of shit to put up, so keep checking back often.

Album Of The Week: This week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week is kind of a misnomer, since the last one was about a year ago. I guess it should be album of the update. Either way it’s a Soul album with a lot of grit. The grit comes from the gruff vocals and the incorporated lyrics. This album features his biggest hit, of course so do most of his other albums, “I Refuse”. This year’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week is Urban Mystic with his debut album Ghetto Revelations II.

Amazon.ComImage Freebie Of The Week: This week’s Amazon.ComImagePrime Members’Image free streaming video of the week, or I guess the year in the case, is one of the all-time great movies. Ferris Bueller’s Day OffImage. “Bueller? Bueller?”

Random Shit: In the time I’ve been away itunes changed companies, which mean to continue with them I’d have to redo all my iTunes links, so fuck them. Those links will be slowly disappearing.

ThugRadio.Net Update: July 3, 2013: The Ruler’s Back

See More News & More News (Goes Further Back)

~July 3, 2013: The Ruler’s Back~
Album Of The Week: This week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week is by an English-born rapper, which may be surprising, but I assure it isn’t nearly as bizarre as it may seem. Even thought his latest album was released over a decade ago he is still Hip-Hop’s preeminent storyteller and he’s still the muthafuckin’ Ruler! Featuring one of the most revered and emulated songs in Hip-Hop’s history, “Children’s Story,” this week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week is Slick Rick with his debut album The Great Adventures Of Slick Rick.

Amazon.ComImage Freebie Of The Week: This week’s Amazon.ComImagePrime Members’Image free streaming video of the week is in honor of the recent release of the remake of Evil DeadImage, which I found to be disappointing. They tried to make it an actual horror movie and removed all the camp that made the original series so fuckin’ horrible it’s awesome. Anyway, here’s Evil Dead 2Image.

Random Shit: It’s been a long time, I shouldn’t have left you without an update to check through. I’ve been very busy with moving and painting and house repairs and other work and life stuff. There were literally weeks at a time when I didn’t even go online. There’s still a lot to do, but Baseball is back and the world champion San Fransisco GiantsImage are back after an intensely rousing march through October culminating in another trophy and another ring, so I’m spending much more time in front of the television, which is when I do my website work. So I’ve been adding a little here and there. I also signed-up for DirecTV and got the Extra Innings package free for a year, so I can watch every single fucking game & double-header. That, combined with MLB Network, keeps me pretty mezmerized.

Even now I’m not going to be doing updates as often. The site’s not making the money it used to, which really zaps my motivation. So if you like the site and appreciate what I do here, please use the links for your purchases, which will make me a little bit of money via referal fees and will greatly increase my motivation to work on the site. The side bar has searches for Amazon.com & iTunes. In the meanwhile make sure you like the Facebook & follow the fuckin’ Twitter & Tumblr, so you know when new updates are posted.

This update was orignally going to be posted in April, but shit happens and, in fact, did. So, instead, Happy Independence DayImage!

ThugRadio.Net Update November 17, 2012: SWEEP!!!!

See More News & More News (Goes Further Back)

~November 17, 2012: SWEEP!!!!~

Album Of The Week: This week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week is something very funny by a man I first saw as an opening act before I’d ever heard of him. The other day I listened to all three of his albums consecutively, which was like my own personal concerto of Comedy. It was good times. I enjoyed it so much that I selected his second album, which is my favorite, as this week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week, Mitch Hedberg’s Mitch All Together.

Image

CDUniverse Price: $15.59 (CDs)/$9.99 (MP3s)

Album Of The Week: This week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week was about to be Nas’ most recent album, Life Is Good. Then I saw this video featuring a new spin on his classic “99 Problems”. He now has “99 problems, but Mitt ain’t one.” Hopefully that’s true. If Mitt Romney is elected we’ll all have a whole new crop of problems, even the billionaires, because Mitt puts money before the environment and even all that money can’t save them from a dying planet. So his new twist on his old song earned Jay-Z this week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week for The Black Album.

Album Of The Week: Last week’s last week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week was one of my favorite producer-led compilations. It’s so good that this is the second time it’s been Album Of The Week. Though this album is full of stars the producer and coordinator shines the brightest of them all. Last week’s last week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week was Hi-Tek with Hi-Technology²: The Chip.

Amazon.ComImage Freebie Of The Week: This week’s Amazon.ComImagePrime Members’Image free streaming video of the week is something in celebration of the recent Halloween holiday. For fans of the HorrorImage genre enjoy Hostel (Unrated)Image.

Random Shit: The San Fransisco GiantsImage are once again World Series champions! Rejoice! Rejoice all!

Barack ObamaImage is once again the President of the United States Of America. Perhaps more importantly we may never have to hear the name Mitt Romney again. Rejoice! Rejoice all!

I know this is old shit, but I’ve been very busy and I’m about to get more busy as I’m moving. Moving alone is a lot of work, but the house needs work, mostly paint and carpet, so keep checking on ThugRadio.Net as updates will resume when I’m able to give it some time.
