ThugRadio.Net is a super sexy website with companion message board and, of course, there's a slightly demented Twitter along with a BlogSpot & a visual feast via YouTube & DailyMotion. I used to have a Rap/R&B radio show and the site was initially set-up as a guide to what I have and can play on the show. The show has since been discontinued, but I've done much too much work on the site to let it die, so I started adding purchase information in hopes of making a little bit of money through the magical power of website affiliation. With Facebook, MySpace & the like I add people who are interested in Rap, Hip-Hop, Soul, R&B, Funk, Comedy and the such in hopes that they may find the site interesting and/or contribute to the Thug Radio Message Board eventually making ThugRadio a global empire followed by world domination. Or something like that.

~June 16, 2012: Pussy, Paper, Poetry, Power & Pistols~

Album Of The Week: This week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week is a special one. It’s by the birthday boy and just so happens to be the greatest album of all-time by the greatest rapper of all-time. Do I need to say more? This week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week is 2Pac with Me Against The World.

Random Shit: Does anyone else find it ironic that Taco Bell’s current motto is “Live Mas” when the more Taco Bell one eats the shorter life-expectancy that one is sure to have? Isn’t it ironic? Don’tcha think?

Now that he’s pitched the 22nd perfect game in MLB history, can Matt Cain finally get some recognition and respect? And a Cy Young award?

ThugRadio.Net Update May 26, 2012: The Machine Stole My Gnome

See More News & More News (Goes Further Back)

~May 26, 2012: The Machine Stole My Gnome~

Album Of The Week: This week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week is something I’ve been wanting to hear for about two or three years, but, due to a multiple moves, it’s been in a box and, for some reason, it was packed before I ripped it for Zune or iPod. Finally I got fed up and went through a few boxes until I found it. Now it’s ripped and on Sancho and sounding beautiful. It’s by an artist who has had great success as a solo artist and has been a part of multiple groups, including Riflemen, Four Horsemen, Originals, N’Mates and, most famously, Tha Dogg Pound. He brought and East Coast aesthetic to the West Coast and blended it seemlessly with a gangsta mentality. This week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week is Kurupt with Space Boogie: Smoke Oddessey.

Amazon.ComImage Freebie Of The Week: This week’s Amazon.ComImagePrime Members’Image free streaming video of the week is a movie that I expected to be a retarded mindless action film, but actually turned out to be pretty enjoyable the second time. The first time I tried to watch it my TiVo cut off the end. ShooterImage.

Random Shit: I recently had my first ever drive-in experience and by experience I mean…I watched a movie. Actually, I watched two movies. I didn’t even know drive-ins still existed until I moved here a few months ago. Last night my friend and I went to the drive-in to see The AvengersImage and “got” to see John CarterImage for a grand total of $6.25 total. It was fuckin’ awesome, except for the John CarterImage part. Lynn CollinsImage was pretty hot, though. Overall, two movies for $6.25 and sitting in the comfortable car, with the ability to control the temperature and volume and bring our own snacks without having to worry about talking or cell phones was pretty awesome, except for the John CarterImage part. The only bad part was the fuckin’ douchebag in the s.u.v. who parked in front of us and had his tailgate up and his inside lights on through half of The AvengersImage. He’s obviously a douchebag just for driving an s.u.v., but is the extra assholic behavior really necessary? You drive an s.u.v. I get it, you’re a douchebag. You don’t have to be an anal sphincter at the same time. In summary, drive-in: Fuckin’ Awesome! Assholic douchebags: Turd Nuggets!

ThugRadio.Net Update April 21, 2012: My Dingo Is So Frisky

See More News & More News (Goes Further Back)

~April 21, 2012: My Dingo Is So Frisky~

Album Of The Week: This week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week is by a rapper who has a bullet in his head. He got his start as a member of Eminem’s Shady Records. Now he’s moved on to form his own label called Black Market Entertainment where he’s recently released his latest album. He’s only released three official albums over his 9-year career, but he’s always released solid albums full of real Hip-Hop with no gimmicks, not even his name. This week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week is Obie Trice with Second Round’s On Me.

Amazon.ComImage Freebie Of The Week: This week’s Amazon.ComImagePrime Members’Image free streaming video of the week is an animated Sci-Fi movie that I just saw for the first time recently. It has an enjoyable story, high quality animation and good voice acting. Tone Loc’s in the muthafuckah! How cool is that? Titan A.E.Image.

Random Shit: Why is the W called a double U? It’s much more of a double V. Look: UU VV. Which looks more like W? Yeah, the Vs. Cuccumber penis!

~Olds: Thesbian Slurpers~

Smurf: It’s been a while since I released any of my extravagant soliloquies of Comedy. This particular single has gone through three major stages separated by a lot of time. The writing and recording, the production and the artwork. But now all three have finally come together to form some kind of a homeless war vet amputee Voltron of Comedy. While I don’t claim any vocals on the track I did the hard work. I wrote, produced and mixed it. Yay for me! Be careful where you listen to it as it is quite possible your ears could orgasm and earjaculate will just spew all over your surroundings. Good luck explaining that. I’m tired of trying to come up with random nonsense to type, so just download it it’s free.

ThugRadio.Net Update February 11, 2012: Sex, Aliens, Whales & Things

See More News & More News (Goes Further Back)

~February 11, 2012: Sex, Aliens, Whales & Things~

Album Of The Week: This week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week is another soundtrack. Apparently I’m in a soundtrack mood lately. I really like the variety the soundtrack grants. This particular soundtrack is an example of “Death Row at its finest” accompanied by a plethora of guest artists who fit in nicely. Not only does the two-disc soundtrack feature four excellent songs by the great 2Pac, but he also stars in the movie that spawned the soundtrack. Wowzers! It’s also the first place I heard a Tech N9ne track. I’ve been scooping up his shit ever since. This week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week is, for the second time, the Gang Related soundtrack.

Amazon.ComImage Freebie Of The Week: This week’s Amazon.ComImagePrime Members’Image free streaming video of the week is one of the craziest sit-coms ever. Off the top of my head I can’t think of another sit-com that starred an extra-terrestrial…or an alien life form. Straight outta Melmac comes its last survivor, ALFImage.

Random Shit: I refused to see and am deeply offended by the movie “Big Miracle.” The one about the three trapped whales. It’s not that I don’t like whales or a story about a community rallying around a good cause. I just can’t get passed the fact that the stupid kid named the whales Fred, Wilma & Bam-Bam. The names are obviously taken from The FlinstonesImage, which doesn’t bother me. What bothers me and makes the film completely unenjoyable for me is the fact that Fred & Wilma are The FlinstonesImage, the title family, but their child’s name is Pebbles. Bam-Bam is their neighbors’, and good friends’, the Rubbles’ child. Assuming the whales are a family of a father, mother and son, The FlinstonesImage would be an inappropriate namesake choice as The Flinstones’Image have a daughter. They could have used the Rubbles’ as their source of inspiration to name the whales, Barney, Betty & Bam-Bam. But to use Fred, Wilma and their neighbors’ kid is weird, unaligned, off-putting and just fuckin’ bizarre. It’s illogical, irrational and inappropriate. I don’t like it one bit. It’s disturbing.

~February 4, 2012: It’s Friday~

Album Of The Week: This week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week is the outstanding soundtrack for a ridiculously hilarious movie. This soundtrack flawlessly flows through Gangsta Rap, Hip-Hop, old Funk and Soul songs to new songs by classic Funk and Soul artists. Somehow the flow is uninterrupted, which makes for a very enjoyable listen. It matches the entertainment value achieved by the classic movie it accompanies. This week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week is the soundtrack to the movie Friday.

Amazon.ComImage Freebie Of The Week: This week’s Amazon.ComImagePrime Members’Image free streaming video of the week is the all-time great comedy movies. I can’t get enough of this movie, which makes it a good think it’s available for free unlimited streaming. Or at least it would be if I didn’t have the DVDImage. From the creator of such family favorites as Beavis & ButtheadImage & King Of The HillImage comes the great Office SpaceImage.

Random Shit: would anyone be surprised to find Snoop Dogg is Wiz Khalifa father?

I love Star WarsImage, but do we really need the constant tinkering with the classic trilogy for re-release after re-release and new alterations for the entire epic for Blu-Ray release and a theatrical re-release in 3D? 3D is fuckin’ lame. We have to pay an extra two dollars to get stupid-ass plastic glasses so we can pretend the movie is closer than it actually is. How about instead of tinkering with and re-releasing the same movies over and over they actually make some new movies? They’ve taken us back with three prequel movies. Now it’s time to take us beyond Luke, Leia & Han. They could make us a new trilogy with a new threat and new heroes with the same old Force. They give us new stories all the time with new booksImage and new video gamesImage.

ThugRadio.Net Update August 24, 2011: Boobies & Waffles

See More News

~August 24, 2011: Boobies & Waffles~

Album Of The Week: This week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week is by a Houston-based rapper. I’m not too into southern Rap, but this gentleman is a definite stand-out. The self-declared Mixtape Messiah has built a strong reputation and following by never being afraid to give away music for free. A couple hugely popular singles helped his cause a little bit as well. The one thing I really don’t like about his music is he has a bad habit of censoring himself and his featured guests. I don’t have a problem with not using profanity, but I have a huge problem with censorship. There’s not really that much censored out and there is a Slick Rick feature, which is something of which the world needs more, and it’s really a good album, so it earned an Album Of The Week recognition this week. This week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week is Chamillionaire’s latest album Ultimate Victory.

Random Shit: I’ve recently had to change banks due to fuckin’ Chase charging me a $10 per month fee for simply having a checking account. In my search for a new account I learned that a plethora of banks are doing credit checks prior to allowing someone to open an account. As I recall it’s the banks that are the delinquents. They made bad loans to people who couldn’t pay them. They made bad investment decisions. But when they crumbled our government bailed them out with our tax money. Now they treat us like we’re the ones who can’t handle money and they charge us for holding if for us. Every time you put money in the bank the bank invests it somewhere where they get ten times (that number’s a guess) the interest you get.

~Olds: Thesbian Slurpers~

YouTube/DailyMotion: This week’s YouTube/DailyMotion triumph of the week is nonexistent. I’m trying to do too many things and I worry about the quality suffering. So I’m just gonna upload videos as I get them done.

It’s called Baby Talk The E.P.(ic) & like a real baby it should have been aborted, but it’s too late & now it’s here, so you might as well enjoy it, embrace it, feed it, change it, burp it & listen to it late at night when you can’t sleep.

I forgot to include the lyrics in the zip, so I posted them on the Thug Radio Message Board. Now you can have your own sing-along. If you’re shy you can just have a read-along. If your deaf you can just enjoy the beautifully written lyrics & giggle inaudibly to yourself.

ThugRadio.Net Update July 27, 2011: Hello?

See More News & Other More News

~July 27, 2011: Hello?~

Album Of The Week: This week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week is for the first time ever a mixtape, a free mixtape at that. It was easily the best mixtape to come out last year. Shit, it’s better than most albums to come out in recent years. Not only is it a solid mix of soulful Hip-Hop it features clips from the movie Almost Famous. This week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week is
Joell Ortiz & Novel’s collaborative mixtape Defying The Predictable.

Amy Winehouse: While it wasn’t a shock at all we still lost an extraordinary talent at only 27 years-old. It’s a horrible loss for her family and friends. If there’s one positive anyone can take from this it’s the reminder that you can’t go kamikaze on your body. A path to self-destruction has only one destination. Choose another path.

Random Shit: I have no idea why this came to me, but it did so take it. One of the most famous lines in the movie Jerry Maguire is “You had me at ‘hello’.” When Tom Cruise comes in and does his whole little spiel about how he misses Renée Zellweger and he likes jump on Oprah’s couch and how cool Scientology is he does not once say “hello.” Not once. Why the fuck does she say “You had me at ‘hello’”? It doesn’t make any sense. Fuck that! Show me the money!

~Olds: Thesbian Slurpers~

YouTube/DailyMotion: This week’s YouTube/DailyMotion triumph of the week is nonexistent. I’m trying to do too many things and I worry about the quality suffering. So I’m just gonna upload videos as I get them done.

Raul Loves All Of The Womens: & all of the womens love him. Or so Raul declares in his new single Bitch Better Have My Slurpee. This has been sitting for awhile waiting for me to finish mixing it and adding the final touches. It’s slated for an as of yet untitled Comedy compilation &/or Raul’s own The Slurpee Chronicles, but I used it in the backing of the intro & outro of The Definitive Raul Interview Part 2: The Legend Of The 7-Eleven, so I felt it would be a good idea to have it available so those who may like it can acquire it easily. Now that you have it share it with everyone. The single features Phil M. Cockenbolz & sometimes Old Joe & it’s free so slurp it down, bitches.

ThugRadio.Net Update July 6, 2011: My Crackers Are On Fire

~July 6, 2011: My Crackers Are On Fire~

Album Of The Week: This week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week has been a great many years in the making even though it came together in about six months. Those involved were close friends and collaborators before a misunderstanding lead to a beef that lasted years. They came together again when one signed the others super group to his re-emerging label. It wasn’t long until they were back in the studio again together & this album was out. Taking a brief hiatus from Slaughterhouse duties Royce Da 5’9” joined Eminem to reform the duo that brought us “Scary Movies,” the original version of “Renegade” from Jay-Z’s The Blueprint & now this week’s ThugRadio.Net Album Of The Week, Bad Meets Evil’s Hell: The Sequel.

Random Shit: Independence Day is the day the forefathers of this great country signed the Declaration Of Independence all those years ago in 1776. After years of fighting a bloody face-to-face war to win independence for our country we now get to watch fireworks bursting in air, wave flags, eat barbeque & watch Baseball games with the players wearing fugly hats. I’m definitely one who enjoys a good holiday. I love Baseball, barbeque & America, but it just seems like an odd way to celebrate the signing of a declaration. It seems like an odd thing to celebrate. I can’t imagine July 4th 1776 people were lining the streets in anticipation of the signing when the word comes out & spreads through the streets, like herpes through a college dorm, & somebody yells, “Yeah, get out your funny hats it’s barbeque time, bitches.” It really just seems like every July 4th those who signed would gather for tea, then eventually coffee as they tried to wean themselves from English habits, to commemorate the event. I celebrated by watching my friend’s dad put a bike rack on her car & going for a hike, from which I got back too late to barbeque. Party on, bitches.
